Felted Hats are Our Speciality.  Our hats have won numerous fiber arts competitions and have been sold in all 50 states and overseas.  To have a hat made from your alpaca, sheep or llama fiber, 8 ounces of skirted (debris and vegetable matter removed) blanket fiber is needed per hat.  The coarser fibers work best for felting (28 microns and up).  Baby alpaca does not hold a stiff shape.  Alpaca and Llama fiber does not need to be washed,  though guard hairs should be removed from llama fiber before sending.   Sheep fiber needs to be washed and free of the majority of grease before sending.  We do not make hats from pre-made rovings or batts.  Price:  $70 per hat made from your fiber or from our fiber.   The pricing is the same if I use our fiber or your fiber.  If you would like a hat already made from our fiber, please visit the ranch store section of this website.

We make 5 styles of hats - The Cowboy, The Gambler, The Explorer Fedora, The Padre and The Sunhat.  The Sunhat is the same as the padre except that it has a larger brim and colors can be added on the brim trim if desired.

Information:

All hats have black trim sewn on the outside brims.  The cowboy and gambler style also have a wire inserted in the brim for custom styling. 

If you are interested in having hats made from your fiber please e-mail, fmariann69@hotmail.com or call 307-655-9176.  The quickest and most efficient way for us to respond to your inquiry is by e-mail since felting is usually going on.  When you are ready to send fiber, but before shipping it please e-mail with how many hats you'd like and of what styles and sizes so that we can e-mail you the return shipping price.  Personal Checks, Credit Card, Paypal, and Money Orders are all payment options.

Payment:  Payment is due in full before processing begins.  If this is a large order, it is no problem to pay for the next shipment as we ship each box of hats (about 4-5 similiar style hats stack and ship in a box), but payment must be received before that shipment begins processing.
